Stormy Austin Skyline Night – Austin Skyline Night capture from the boardwalk was a stunning site with these great refections in the lake and a little of the blue hour left to make it interesting. This Austin skyline includes the latest edition with the tallest high rise in the city the new Independent or Jingle as some call it for it unique style. We had been waiting till the light came on the tops of the Independent building to get this shot of the city. I was getting ready to pack it up from my position on the boardwalk when I could see these storm clouds pushing in to the view of the city skyline with a lot of lightning yet no wind as of yet so the buildings reflection could still be seen in Lady Bird Lake for a awesome catch which rarely happens. When it comes to Austin Lady Bird Lake there is almost always someone on the water or even ducks to mess up a perfect reflection but tonight we got lucky. In any case Austin has one of the best skyline in Texas day or night. The hike and bike trail along town lake is busy most of the time day or night.
Austin Lou Neff Sunrise Reflection Pano – Urban Landscape Canvas Prints – We capture the latest Austin skyline from Lou Neff Point right before sunrise as the sky was full of color with pinks, violets, yellows, and purples with these wonderful reflections of the high rise buildings in Lady Bird Lake in a panorama. We have been waiting till the bulk of the cranes went down in the city along with we needed the lights on our new tallest building which were not lit all the way to the top till recently so finally it ready for the photo. This is always a battle we have when a city changes so much every year. Today it work out the water was very calm which help us capture the sky and skyline reflections in the water, this is in itself a rare event. Lady Bird Lake is a very popular place so there is almost always someone out in a canoe or the rowing club to mess up the water but today we got lucky. This is also the most current skyline taken in 2019 with all the latest skyscrapers like the Austonian and Independent along with all the other new editions to the shoreline along town lake. Lou Neff is part of the Zilker park and this area is where Barton Creek and Lady Bird Lake come together so it is usually a busy place only this time of day would the water be this smooth. This is a 2 to 1 panorama so it will slightly taller than a regular 3 to 1 pano. Thanks for looking!

Austin Blue Hour Skyline – Urban Landscape Canvas Prints – Another great Austin Skyline from the boardwalk with these wonderful blues, violet and purple colors left over from right after sunset. The locals also refer to this time as the blue hour or the violet crown or just plain old twilight regardless of what you call it is a lovely time of day to capture the city. These colors appear right afer sunset and just before the blue hour with all these different colors from pink, to purple to violet or lavender still hanging on from earlier. These colors only last for a short bit before they are gone so you have to be ready and today there was no wind so we were able to capture the skyline building reflections in the water which also pick up the colors in the sky this rarely happens. We have been comming back to this location to try and capture a view with the purples, pinks and violet colors and tonight we were finally able to capture it tonight. Since I have lived in austin I remember seeing many business with the name of violet crown in them. I remember a shopping center with the name along with other various business over the years. I believe this goes back a long way and is part of the wonderful sky colors that many see in the city over the years. We are aways in awe when you get a good one and tonight it work out nicely. Austin is a fast growing city with all of it sky-scrapers built in the last ten year so it is has a modern cityscape in downtown and is constantly changing for good or bad. Much of the growth of the city growth has been the large number of high tech companies which have move here to the city in the last five year or so. Austin is also the state capital and it is home to a major school the University of Texas. The city contines to draw tourist and people wanting to vist or live in this lively modern city with it well know night life being the music capital of the world and it great life style. However with that said I must mention the draw back from the increase traffic which can be a complete night mare at time.
Santa Elena Canyon Path – A little different view of Santa Elena Canyon from the pathway to the canyons as the mountains rise up it for an impressive view of the site. These two side of the canyons, one on the left is Mexico side and the other the US side allow the Rio Grande river to flow out of mountains and contiunue it journey downstream. This Texas landscape had a nice sky with some nice clouds and a path that led your eyes toward the canyon walls. To me the Santa Elena Canyon are one of the highlights of the Big Bend National park, to get there it is about an hour drive on the Ross Maxwell Scenic drive west through the Chiso Mountain when almost to the end of the road, there is an scenic overlook of the canyon landscape from here. But if you want explore more drive a little farther to the trail head where you can walk about 5 minutes along a board walk on sand to get to a beach area where the Rio Grande River flows out of the mouth of the canyons. If you like you can climb up the cliffs as there are several fairly accessable views points for some outstanding Texas scenery that are not too high or difficult to climb or stay below and enjoy the stunning view from below. The river is seldom too deep and in some cases you can walk quite a ways back into the canyons. We have landscape images from several views of this wonderful Texas scenery on our site so thanks for looking. beecreekphoto.com
