Stormy Austin Skyline Night – Austin Skyline Night capture from the boardwalk was a stunning site with these great refections in the lake and a little of the blue hour left to make it interesting. This Austin skyline includes the latest edition with the tallest high rise in the city the new Independent or Jingle as some call it for it unique style. We had been waiting till the light came on the tops of the Independent building to get this shot of the city. I was getting ready to pack it up from my position on the boardwalk when I could see these storm clouds pushing in to the view of the city skyline with a lot of lightning yet no wind as of yet so the buildings reflection could still be seen in Lady Bird Lake for a awesome catch which rarely happens. When it comes to Austin Lady Bird Lake there is almost always someone on the water or even ducks to mess up a perfect reflection but tonight we got lucky. In any case Austin has one of the best skyline in Texas day or night. The hike and bike trail along town lake is busy most of the time day or night.
Twilight Over Austin Skyline Pano – Another colorful capture of the latest Austin Skyline just as twilight is approaching with just a hint of the bluehour or twilight colors right after sunset and stormy skies in the distant with these nice reflections of the skyline in the water. You can see a stormy skies in the distance with lighting on this evening in downtown Austin. This is the latest Austin Skyline for 2019 of all the new buildings along the shoreline like the new Independent, google, austonian, Marriott, Frost and many more from the boardwalk view. The boardwalk is a popular place which many locals use as it is part of the Roy Butler Hike and bike trail along town lake. This area is great for walking, running or biking along the lake in downtown. It is also one of the many locations to capture the Austin skyline from along the trails in downtown. Austin Blue Hour Skyline – Urban Landscape Canvas Prints – Another great Austin Skyline from the boardwalk with these wonderful blues, violet and purple colors left over from right after sunset. The locals also refer to this time as the blue hour or the violet crown or just plain old twilight regardless of what you call it is a lovely time of day to capture the city. These colors appear right afer sunset and just before the blue hour with all these different colors from pink, to purple to violet or lavender still hanging on from earlier. These colors only last for a short bit before they are gone so you have to be ready and today there was no wind so we were able to capture the skyline building reflections in the water which also pick up the colors in the sky this rarely happens. We have been comming back to this location to try and capture a view with the purples, pinks and violet colors and tonight we were finally able to capture it tonight. Since I have lived in austin I remember seeing many business with the name of violet crown in them. I remember a shopping center with the name along with other various business over the years. I believe this goes back a long way and is part of the wonderful sky colors that many see in the city over the years. We are aways in awe when you get a good one and tonight it work out nicely. Austin Lou Neff Sunrise Reflection – Urban Landscape Canvas Prints – We capture the latest Austin skyline from Lou Neff Point right before sunrise as the sky was full of color with pinks, violets, yellows, and purples with these wonderful reflections of the high rise buildings in Lady Bird Lake. The water was very calm which help us capture the sky and skyline reflections in the water this is rare event now. This is also the most current skyline taken in 2019 with all the latest skyscrapers like the Austonian and Independent along with all the other new editions to the shoreline along town lake. Lou Neff is part of the Zilker park and this area is where Barton Creek and Lady Bird Lake come together so it is usually a busy place only this time of day would the water be this smooth before the sup and canoes take to the water. The Butler hike and bike trail is one of the most popular places in Austin and it attracts locals and tourist to the area on a daily basis year round.
New Orleans Skyline BW – Another capture of this black and white panorama of the New Orleans skyline in downtown area around dusk as the high rise building light came on and it created this nice reflections in the Mississippi River. It was difficult to find a location to capture the city so we settled on the ferry landing to capture this pano of the New Orleans Skyline and because it was such a nice image we decided it would look even better as a black and white.

Austin Skyline Glow – Austin skyline aerial as the sunset leaves this orange glow over Lady Bird Lake shoreline. The high rise buildings continue to grow along the town lake or Lady Bird Lake and on this aerial we can see we are almost done with building along the lake once the Independent or Jingle as some call it, is completed next year. Not really but just thought I would say it, but the truth is there are plans for two more 800 ft plus buildings in the same area over the next few year it seem they would be out of space to build in that area I guess not. In any case the downtown view along the lake has been changing almost yearly so we will see what come next. Austin skyline is a modern since most of the buildings have been built in the last ten years or so. Austin has many things to do in the city from the many parks, hike and bike trails, boating, barton springs, museums, along with live music events and UT sporting events to keep any one satisfied. Austin is situated in central texas at the beginning of the hill country where there are two lakes close by like Lake Austin, along with Lake Travis which are less than 30 minutes away for boating, swimming and other lake activities. Austin is a high tech town with lot of business related to that along with it is home to University of Texas and the State Capital.
Austin Aerial Skyline Twilight View – Austin Aerial skyline view at Twilight taken from a birds eye view. This is another Austin skyline aerial image of the Austin twilight view looking down Lady Bird Lake with the city modern high rise buildings along the shoreline of the lake and looking north over IH35 where you can see the UT stadium and Erwin Center in the distant view. You can see Austin tallest building the Austonian which for a few months longer will hold that title till the Independent is completed sometime before the end of the year. It has been hard to capture images of Austin skyline from anywhere along the hike and bike trail because they are constantly adding new building along the shoreline. About the time you think they are done new cranes show up. Just recently found out that we will have two new buildings along the town lake shoreline once more and they will be taller than the Independent so its title will not last long. Just like all good things they don’t last long you can barely see the top of the Frost building, at one time it was the tallest building in the skyline. The cityscape has been constantly changing for years and I guess until all the land is gone it will continue. Actually from this spot in the 70’s you had a straight on view of the Texas Capital those days have been gone for many years now.

Houston Skyline from the Park – This is one of our favorite places to photograph with the many parks near downtown that also has a great view of the Houston skyline from the park. There are many hike and bike trails with fields for playing ball or start up a game of volley ball all with a wonderful cityscape with all the skyscraper high rise buildings in the city as a backdrop. The city view includes the usual skyscrapers like the Chase Tower, Heritage Plaza, Wells Fargo, and the 1400 Smith St. buildings just to name a few. You can see the Houston City Hall building at the base of the buildings where it is dwarfed by the high-rise skyscrapers since Houston has some to the tallest buildings in the southern US. The Buffalo Bayou run along side of the trials through out the park. This is the Eleanor Tinsley park that is right in downtown area along the Allen Parkway a wonderful addition to the city. It was name after Eleanor Tinsley who served on the city counsel for 16 years in 1998. What is so great is the Houston skyline from the park can be seen from most areas of the park and has been a huge addition to the city and a draw for locals and tourist that come to visit.
