Flying Pegasus and Reunion Tower BW- We captured these two iconic landmark features of downtown Dallas the Flying Pegasus and Reunion Tower in black and white. The Flying Pegasus sit on top of a oil derick in front of the Omni hotel in downtown Dallas. This Pegasus had been on top of the Magnolia Hotel for more than half of a century till it was so rusted and damaged that it had to be taken down. The city of Dallas replace it with a new pegasus on top of the building for a cost of around 600,000. The orginal pegaus sat in a warehouse for years until a group of nostagic people came together and started the process of bringing it back to life, this city of dallas artistans came together and started to help bring it back. It was no small feat as no one seem to know where it was at first. Finally the orginal pegasus was found and then it needed a home and it was placed on an oil derrick in front of the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas. From this location you can see two landmark for the city of Dallas with the Flying Pegasus and the Reunion Tower in view.
