Dallas McDermott Bridge Reflection Pano 007 – The new Margaret McDermott Bridge in downtown Dallas with skyline at twilight. We captured this after a rain storm so there was water in the Trinity for a nice reflection of the city and bridge. This is a steel bridge suspended with two arches over the Trinity River previously IH30 and is part of the Trinity project. This bridge is also designed to accomodate a pedestrian and bike path to join the area other hike and bike trails. This city skyline has all the usual iconic dallas buildings most promenant like the Reunion Tower, Bank of America, to the alway colorful Omni Hotel in view plus many other high rise buildings in the city downtown area. Dallas is located in north Texas and is a modern city with many varieties of commercial business along with being cultural hub of the region. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. The city has a large Arts District, with the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and many other art, music and culture entertainment areas. We stumble upon the Deep Ellum area on a Saturday night and I can say this place was a happening place with restaurants and music venues all through out this area. This is a vibrant city that offers a lot to tourist and local who visit the downtown. was a twilight view from here but not an easy shot I had to climb up the side of levy then down again on the other side and then wade into the water to capture this image of the Dallas skyline with the McDermont bridge to create this nice reflection.

San Antonio Skyline from San Pedro Creek – San Pedro Creek with San Antonio Skyline Images. You can see the new Frost Tower, Tower of Americas, Drury Hotel, Wydam Hotel, BBVA Compass bank, and many more downtown high rise buildings along this spectacular new boardwalk. This new edition to the city is a restoration project re-storing San Pedro Creek’s natural environment and creating a world-class linear park. The city is famous for it riverwalk, Alamo, and other spanish missions to name a few now this lastest edition along San Pedro Creek will only add to the citys charm.
San Antonio Skyline Sunset Panorama – Another capture of San Antonio skyline at sunset panorama just after the sun went down in the sky. You can see the sunset colors in the reflection of new Frost Tower building. We have been trying different angles to capture the city skyline with the new Frost Tower in view. The Frost sits at 300 feet in height, it is the 11th tallest in the city. In this image is the historic Tower Life building, along with the tallest building in the city the Tower of America which a city landmark since it was built for the Hemisphere Park in the late 1960, it has drawn tourist from all around. San Antonio is a city of many flavors and now they have added their first new skyscraper since the late 1980s. Along with the Alamo, the river walk and the missions and the recently completed Frost Tower along the new San Pedro Creek boardwalk this will become another area of interest for tourist who come to the city.
New Orleans Skyline BW – Another capture of this black and white panorama of the New Orleans skyline in downtown area around dusk as the high rise building light came on and it created this nice reflections in the Mississippi River. It was difficult to find a location to capture the city so we settled on the ferry landing to capture this pano of the New Orleans Skyline and because it was such a nice image we decided it would look even better as a black and white.
Austin Aerial Skyline- Zilker Christmas Tree with the Austin skyline in the background. Every year after Thanksgiving the tree is lit with over 3000 lights and since it stand at 155 ft it is the tallest man made tree in the US. Actually it is a moon tower built in the early 1900 to improve lighting in the downtown part of the city. Lucky for us it makes a great christmas tree.
Austin Zilker Christmas Tree and Trail of Lights – This is image of the skyline with the Austin Trail of Lights along with Zilker Chrismas Tree in view. We capture this image with all the iconic high rise buildings like the Frost, the Austonian, Austin 360 and many of the new building recently built. This is an Austin tradition since the 60’s. Every year starting in December the trail opens to the public with all of the holiday christmas themes along the trail or you can go dazzle yourself by spinning under the oversize Christmas tree of lights! This makes an excellent christmas card too for your employees, friends, and family.
Austin Skyline Panorama – We captured this aerial Austin skyline panorama of the cityscape looking straight down Congress Ave using our drone to photography over the city. This wonderful Austin skyline was capture looking up congress avenue all the way to the Texas Capital. In this Austin skyline you can see many of the city high-rise buildings including the Frost, Austonian, W Hotel, Austin 360 CondosOne Congress Plaza, Radisson Hotel, Marriott, Four Season Hotel, along with the Ashton Condos, and One Congress and a bit of Lady Bird Lake. Looking up congress avenue you can the Texas State Capital which is the hub of Central Texas. Austin is the location for the University of Texas flagship campus, high tech companies, and is also known for its live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating. West of Austin is Lake Austin plus Lake Travis and South of the city, is the Formula One Circuit of the Americas raceway to name a few thing around town.
Houston River Oaks Movie Theater -The Houston River Oaks Movie Theatre is a historic movie theater located in the River Oaks Shopping Center in the Neartown community in Houston, Texas, east of the River Oaks community. We were excited to find the River Oaks Theater is still in business. The River Oaks theater is a historic landmark and according to my other half its where she spent a good deal of her time in her early twenties so we had to stop and take a photo for nostagia sake. Just another street scene of this vibrant cityscape in downtown Houston. This was in the downtown part of Houston not sure if it is considered downtown or uptown Houston I don’t know where the line is located between the two areas.
Sam Houston Monument Hermann Park – Sam Houston Monument which sits at the entrance to Hermann Park in downtown Houston overlooking the park. Sam Houston is sitting on top of his horse Saracen over looking the beautiful Hermann Park in downtown Houston and is recognize for his victory over San Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto. This is bronze statue which was sculpted by Enrico Filiberto Cerrachio and has been sitting at Montross and Main since 1925. The arch it sits on was made out of a hugh granite slab and was sculpted by artist Frank Teich. This monument is one of the many Houston landmarks in the city. Sam Houston was recoginized for his victory over Santa Anna in the Battle of San Jacinto which secured the independence of Texas from Mexico in one of the shortest decisive battles in modern history.
