You can view the Austin Skyline with the Christmas Tree and Trail of Lights festival event in downtown Austin which opens December 9th through December 23rd. The event started in 1965 and was orginally called the Yule Fest which was a lighting of a yule log to which evloved into todays festive Trail of Lights with over 2 million lights and 40 displays for your family memories. The Zilker Christmas tree is acutally one of the moonlight towers with christmas light at a height of over 155 feet tall.
