Sunset Over Hill Country Bluebonnets – These Texas hill country bluebonnets capture the natural way wildflower grow every spring in this area. We captured this sunset sky over a field of Texas hill country bluebonnets with a backdrop of mesquite, oaks, and cedar trees. This was a hugh field of Texas bluebonnets on this ranch land that seem to pop at the end of the season after a rain event that seem to renew the wildflowers. We came back here many times because there were so many texas bluebonnets wildflowers for miles and miles in this area. These bluebonnets with a few poppies made a lovely texas landscape scene in the hill country. We love our bluebonnet in Texas but you never know where they might come up one year they will be so plentiful in some area and the next year you come back to the same area and nothing. Its always a mystery as to where they will show up we have been known to drive hundreds of miles looking for them every spring.
Texas Longhorn in the Wildflowers – We have come back to this location many times trying to get the longhorns in the wildflowers. They seem to like to take a siesta in the middle of the day so today we were able to capture this one just as he laid down in the wildflowers. You can see a few bluebonnets still hanging on but with all the new yellow wildflowers like I believe these may be black eye susans along with some Indian blankets and may other wildflowers. Of course the one laying in the flowers had to be the far away but no fear we put on the big lens to capture him. Wildflowers and longhorns what could be better than that.
