Texas Backroad Bluebonnets – We found this back country road in the Texas hill country with these lovely bluebonnets along this county road. This was our second trip to the area with a blue sky which gave us some nice contrast on the flowers. We had been traveling many of the backroad in the hill country looking for bluebonnets and wildflower before we found this road and we really like the bluebonnets in this area. Texas wildflowers are a seasonal thing that last a few weeks and one thing we have learn is that just when you think they have all gone to seed you may have a section somewhere that pops up later like these along this road. This too will pass as we notice they were starting to go seed by our seccond trip two days later so maybe we will see them again next year. We can only hope!
Bluebonnet Railroad Tracks Sunrise – We have come to this old abandoned rail road track in the past years, but this year instead of catching a sunset we decided to try for a sunrise and we got lucky. Today we had a great sunrise over this railroad tressel right before the sunrise pop over the horizon with some fantastic colors. I managed to get a few shot before some heavyier clouds moved in the predawn but cleared a bit for a sunrise shot later on. Any case the pre dawn sunrise over these bluebonnets were a great catch in the Texas hill country. Texas bluebonnets at the rail road track in the texas hill country is alway a reason to celebrate! We love our Texas Wildflowers that Lady Bird Johnson promote heavily in our state part of the highway beautification from fifty years ago.

Texas Hill Country Waterfall 2 – We came across this beautiful scene as the springs were flowing and created nice waterfalls over the rocky limestone in the Texas Hill country landscape from all the excess rains lately. What I like is all the boats in the water watching the show from their boats. It is a great way to see some fireworks. No matter what your doing for the big holiday grilling out with family and friends it always good to topped off the evening with some local fireworks and what better way than by boat if you can.
