Austin Skyline Dawn Pano -Lady Bird Lake Austin Texas – We captured this Austin Skyline before sunrise which is the best time to get some color in the sky right at dawn. Butler Shores was the only place where you can park now as many parking lots are closed in downtown due to the covid19. We wanted to capture the latest Austin skyline before downtown Austin has another transformation as we have two more high rises that they have started on in the last year that will change the skyline again very soon. The two new skyscrapers will be two hundred feet taller than the Independent or Jengal building seen in this image. The Independent now has the top crown lit which many had been waiting to see. In the last couple of years the skyline has added at least a dozen new skyscrapers along the shoreline, many which have blocked some of the old high rise buildings like the austin 360 and the Frost Bank Tower. The frost can still be seen from this angle but in many cases it is not visible any longer. This area is popular because of the many parks and hike and bike trails that are so easily usable in downtown. The city of Austin had a thriving convention business till the covid19 virus that brought many to the area which I am sure will come back soon. Austin has a population of a million people and it sometimes seem they are all downtown with all the condos they have built. Austin Texas has alway had a reputaton of a city with a vibe with it music industry like the SBSW and the ACL festives along with so many small events it too hard to name them all. We have taken many of the Texas skylines and non have had the transformation that Austin Tx has, especially along Lady Bird Lake or town lake as many old timers call it which is part of the highland lakes colorado river chain. Austin is also the home to theTexas Capitol which is one of the largest employer in downtown Austin, along with the many high tech company like Amazon, IBM, Adobe, Google to name a few. Today Austin’s population has reach one million and is one of the fastest growing city in the south.
Golden Glow Over Austin Skyline Pano – Austin skyline with a golden glow from an aerial view looking down Lady Bird Lake at all the skyscrapers along the shoreline. This pre-sunset image captures the Austin skyline down Lady Bird Lake with this late afternoon glow with all the latest high rise buildings along the shore line like the tallest high rise the Independent to the second tallest the Austonian. This aerial image was taken near the area of the hike and bike trail, along barton creek and Lou Neff Point which captures the Lamar bridge, the pedestrian bridge, First street bridge all the way down to the Congress bridge. We like the fact that you can also see the UT tower in the photo which is a good distance away. It was a lovely golden hour capture with some nice reflections and capital curise boat and sups capture on the water. This is a two to one aerial panorama skyline over Austin taken with a professional 42 mega pixel camera with exceptional resolution. Thanks for looking!
Austin Skyline Glow – Austin skyline aerial as the sunset leaves this orange glow over Lady Bird Lake shoreline. The high rise buildings continue to grow along the town lake or Lady Bird Lake and on this aerial we can see we are almost done with building along the lake once the Independent or Jingle as some call it, is completed next year. Not really but just thought I would say it, but the truth is there are plans for two more 800 ft plus buildings in the same area over the next few year it seem they would be out of space to build in that area I guess not. In any case the downtown view along the lake has been changing almost yearly so we will see what come next. Austin skyline is a modern since most of the buildings have been built in the last ten years or so. Austin has many things to do in the city from the many parks, hike and bike trails, boating, barton springs, museums, along with live music events and UT sporting events to keep any one satisfied. Austin is situated in central texas at the beginning of the hill country where there are two lakes close by like Lake Austin, along with Lake Travis which are less than 30 minutes away for boating, swimming and other lake activities. Austin is a high tech town with lot of business related to that along with it is home to University of Texas and the State Capital.
We love Austin Skyline in the fall and this aerial pano show off the very urban Austin skyline that captures the downtown and all the high rise buildings hugging the shoreline of Lady Bird Lake with the city and IH35 in view. Again the water had this nice reflection of the clouds and high rise buildings in the water along with the colorful fall trees along the banks. This image capture this urban landscape of the Austin Skyline from the east side and shows some of the citys tallest buildings like the Austonian, the new Fairmont Hotel, with the top of the Frost just barely peeking above the crowd along the shoreline. Also you can see the Frank Erwin Center and the UT stadium along IH35 to name just a few things seen in this cityscape. Until they finish the Independent the Austonian will remain the tallest in town at least for another year or more. You can just barely see the top of the State Capitol trying to peek above all the other high rise buildings in downtown but it is there at least for now. Austin is the fastest growing city in the US and the 11th most populous city and is the seat of the Texas State Capitol. At the last census this urban city had a population of just over 947,000 and growing. beecreekphoto.com

We capture this image of the Austin skyline with Stevie Ray Vaughn statue from the hike and bike trail on Ladybird Lake with the latest high-rise editions to the city the Colorado Towers, which now almost completely block the Frost building from view at this location. This area of the hike and bike trail along Ladybird lake has been a favorite location for many to capture the city and the statue together. We had an exceptional day with nice skies so we decided to try and capture this photos again, but with the ever changing skyline we will be back again soon. Stevie Vaughn was a favorite blues and rock roll singer who died from a helicopter that crashed into the side of mountain in 1990 at the early age of 35 in the height of his carree. Stevie played a lot of concerts along auditorium shores along with many Austin clubs so this statue was put along the hike and bike trail along Lady Bird Lake or Town Lake as it was called back as a memorial to him in 1994. Today this site is a favorite of tourist to visit and photograph.
