Gruene Dance Hall B W – Gruene Hall in black and white, This area outside of New Braunfels is an old German community by Ernest Gruene which is also the towns name, oh it is prononced “Green”. Now this area is part of New Braunsfel and is the oldest dance hall in Texas built somewhere in the late 1878 as a social gathering place and a saloon for the cotton farmers in Gruene. Tx. Gruene Hall is still in buisness today with a saloon and dance hall. It still has that vintage feel of an old Texas dance hall. The water tower stands behind the dance hall in this image on a nice cloudy day. We like the contrast of the black and white in this image. Also available in color.
