Dallas McDermott Bridge Reflection Pano 007 – The new Margaret McDermott Bridge in downtown Dallas with skyline at twilight. We captured this after a rain storm so there was water in the Trinity for a nice reflection of the city and bridge. This is a steel bridge suspended with two arches over the Trinity River previously IH30 and is part of the Trinity project. This bridge is also designed to accomodate a pedestrian and bike path to join the area other hike and bike trails. This city skyline has all the usual iconic dallas buildings most promenant like the Reunion Tower, Bank of America, to the alway colorful Omni Hotel in view plus many other high rise buildings in the city downtown area. Dallas is located in north Texas and is a modern city with many varieties of commercial business along with being cultural hub of the region. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. The city has a large Arts District, with the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and many other art, music and culture entertainment areas. We stumble upon the Deep Ellum area on a Saturday night and I can say this place was a happening place with restaurants and music venues all through out this area. This is a vibrant city that offers a lot to tourist and local who visit the downtown. was a twilight view from here but not an easy shot I had to climb up the side of levy then down again on the other side and then wade into the water to capture this image of the Dallas skyline with the McDermont bridge to create this nice reflection.
Dallas Margaret McDermott Bridge – The new Margaret McDermott Bridge in downtown Dallas with city skyline after dark. This bridge is also designed to accomodate a pedestrian and bike path to join the the area other hike and bike trails. Also in this image is the Reunion Tower, the Bank of America Plaza, Renaissance Tower, Comercia Bank Tower, Omin Hotel, along with many other downtown high rise buildings. Dallas has some of the tallest buildings in Texas second only to Houston. The Bank of America Plaza stands at 921 feet and the Renaissance Tower at 886 feet as two of the tallest buildings in the southern US. Dallas is also the fourth most populous city in Texas with an estimate of 1, 197 million, but the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has the greatest population in Texas at over 7 million for the 2016 census. Dallas is the main draw to the area with it modern city it has become a main area for coporate head quarters like AT&T, ExxonMobile, Nokia, Rockwell, and the list goes on for fortune 500 companies. Dallas is located in north Texas and is the largest inland metropolitan area and has grown to become a industrial and finacial district in Texas. Alo Dallas has it share of culture with it museum district with some of the finest museums like the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center. Also is the Dealy six floor museum which commemorates the site of President John F Kenndys assassination in the downtown Dallas in 1963. d84-7148
