The Austin skyline is an iconic part of its identity. It has been featured in movies and television shows, and has become a symbol of Texas itself. The city is home to many famous landmarks, including the Texas State Capitol building, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Lyndon B. Johnson Library.

Austin, Texas, is home to over 1 million people and growing fast. The capital of Texas, Austin is the 11th largest in the United States. Austin is the state capital of Texas and serves as the seat of Travis County. The Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area has a total population of 2,056,405, which ranks fourth highest in the state. It is also one of the fastest growing areas in the country. Austin has many beautiful views though out the city. The Austin skyline is constantly changing with the rising of new buildings. This gallery includes images of downtown Austin, Austin skyline, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Butler Park, Congress Ave, Ladybird Lake, Boardwalk, the Capital of Texas, Texas state Capitol, night life, hike and bike trails, along with Lake Austin and Lake Travis located in the Texas Hill Country which is just a short drive from town.

Some of the tallest building in the Austin skyline is the Independent, measuring in at 685 feet and 58 stories high. Currently under construction is the Sixth & Guadalupe tower will be much taller and will stand at 875 foot and will take the title of the tallest residential high rise west of the Mississippi river when finished for a sort time. Other tall buildings in the Austin skyline is the Austonian, the 360 Condos and one of the most recognizable buildings in the city the Frost Bank Tower, which stands at 515 feet.
