Here are the latest images of the Austin 360 bridge taken at sunset. We had not been to this location in a while to capture the Pennybacker bridge or Austin 360 bridge from this location which it is more commonly called. The bridge sits on the hwy 360 which is the main road, but the actual name of the bridge is the Percy V. Pennybacker Jr. Bridge in Austin, Texas. Most refer to the bridge as the Austin 360 bridge or the Austin Pennybacker bridge. The bridge connects the south to the north section of the Capital of Texas Highway or as many called it the Loop 360 highway. There are several overlooks of the 360 bridge but today we decided to come down to park and fly our new Airpeak Sony drone with it 60 megapixel Sony camera to hopefully capture a nice sunset in full resolution. We took the drone up as the sunset was just begining to set in the sky and capture a round of landscapes photos of the bridge with a wonderful golden glow. As with the larger drones the time in the air is shorter but the resolution is so much better. We waited till the sun went down and notice that the sky was beginning to back light the skies with these pink colored clouds over the bridge and lake Austin. So we took the aerial camera back up to capture this moment in time and the sky was beautiful with it twillight colors of pink sky. The twilight clouds highlighted Lake Austin and the 360 bridge landscapes with this wonderful pink glow after the sun set in the sky. Pretty close to perfect night at the Pennybacker Bridge. Below are a few images:

Austin 360 Bridge at Twilight

Austin 360 Bridge at Twilight - This was our second aerial flight of the evening after sunset and we captured this image of the Austin 360 bridge after sunset. We had such spectacular sky colors tonight with these pinks, oranges, and blues as a background to the bridge it made our wow landscapes factor. The Pennybacker bridge or 360 bridge is a Texas landmark for the Austin area. It seem that every new college student brings their parents here to see the sunsets at least those who can climb the cliffs. This bridge has been photographed by just about everyone that is capable of climbing up the cliffs, and from the water to capture a sunset or sunrise shot with this texas bridge in the Texas Hill Country. We have done all the above and we take many from our drone to capture a different perspective. The 360 bridge crosses Lake Austin which is a popular spot for boating, picnicking, swimming, and many other activities, which includes catching a sunset. Tonight we saw a guy using a hoover board on the water just a little added entertainment. This is considered the gateway to the Texas hill country and many visit and and it is also a desired location to live in the area that if you can afford it.

Lake Austin 360 Bridge Sunset

Lake Austin 360 Bridge Sunset - An aerial image of the Austin 360 bridge as the sun goes down behind the hills for some nice golden ray sunset sky. The clouds picked up the sun rays and created this beauiful orange glow in the sky. The Pennyback Bridge or 360 bridge is taken from above the bridge with Lake Austin and the nice colors in the sky as the sun sinks behind the hills. This bridge is actually call the Pennybacker bridge but because it sits on the 360 hwy it got rename by many in the city. You can see a few boats still on the water and cars crossing the bridge on this wonderful day in the Texas hill country. Sunsets in the hill country can be a popular sport and most come to climb the cliffs to watch the sunset from the overlooks. Also this area is quite often very congested with people and boats and cars so parking can be an issue especially on weekends.
