Starting in the north Texas coast is Galveston. Galveston is an island city on the Gulf Coast of Texas at the entry point to the Houston ship channel. It’s known for Moody Gardens, Amusement rides and restaurants line Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier on the south shore. West is bird-rich Galveston Island State Park, with its trails, kayak launches and fishing spots. Stewart Beach and East Beach are on the island’s eastern end.

Galveston is a barrier island on the upper Texas coast is about 27 miles long and 3 miles wide in the northern part of the gulf of Mexico. Galveston is located about 50 miles southeast of Houston Texas along the Texas coast. Between Galveston is Galveston bay along with the Galveston channel also this area leads to the Houston Ship Channel. Galveston has a lot of history from likes of pirates Jean Lafitte who was known to come into the area till he was force out of the area my the US military. Today Galveston is known as tourist vacation spot along with it shipping and port activities.

Bolivar Peninsula Nestled just northeast of Galveston, Bolivar Peninsula is its own Texas treasure. A national refuge for coastal birds and fishing, the area has become a vacation hot spot for the upper Texas coast.
