Buddy Holly Center Lubbock TX- The City of Lubbock purchased the old railroad building in 1997 and remodeled it for the Buddy Holly center. Newly renovated, restored, and expanded, it reopened as the Buddy Holly Center, a facility housing an extensive collection of Buddy Holly memorabilia, changing arts exhibits, and a gallery showcasing West Texas musicians. Buddy Holly was a rock and roll musician of the 1950's with a distinct voice who sang with a group called the Crickets and died at a young age of 22 in a plane crash. Buddy Holly was born in Lubbock Texas in 1936 and started singing on the radio in Lubbock. The horn-rimmed glasses are easily recognizable as Buddy Holly's and sit in front of the center. Buddy Holly and his band the Crickets were only singing professionaly for a few years, but produced many hits in that short time frame such as "That' ll will be the day" and "Peggie Sue" were a couple of the hits that put him on the map as rock and roll pioneer. Buddy Holly opened for Elvis Pressley and it influenced him so much he changed his style of music from country western to rock and roll. Buddy Holly, who is recognised as the pioneer of Rock ‘n’ Roll and who influenced and inspired so many artists, including; The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Elton John. The frame is 3/4" deep which makes your image appear to be floating off the wall and will include a cleat hanger by default.

Gallery quality Canvas wraps are printed on a 400gsm semi-gloss white poly-cotton blend, specifically designed for the high-end fine art and photography markets. The canvas is then wrapped on a 1.5" stretcher framed and will have a mirrored edge. The gallery wrap arrives at your doorstep ready to hang. While canvas wraps are more expensive, there is no need for matting and framing.

The inks are bonded with the ChromaLuxe® aluminum sheets for the best quality.
