Lubbock Windmill Museum Vertical

Lubbock Windmill Museum Vertical - The museum was closed on Mondays so we could only capture the windmill outside of the American Windmill Museum. Luckly for us there were plenty to capture. So many windmills of all types in one area. The American Windmill Museum is the largest windmill museum of it kind. There are over 160 different windmills that have been restored and put on display. Lubbock Texas has a vested a lot of research into wind power after the 1970 EF5 tornado wiped out the downtown part of the city. The university of Texas Tech in lubbock has a whole department that studies wind power. As we drove through the high plains area the one thing you notice are lots and lots of wind turbines along with the older version windmills.
