Threadgills North Lamar 2

Threadgills North Lamar 2 - This is another view of Threadgills which was a place to come and listen to some good music and eat some southern food. Originally owned by Kenneth Threadgills who turned a filling station into a tavern in 1933. Years later in the early 1960's a young blues singer got her first break at the tavern on blues night on wednesday at the tavern and Kenneth took her under his wing and encouraged her to keep going her name was Janis Joplin. The rest is history. The tavern went out of business and in 1981 Eddie Wilson who had previously owned Amardillo World Headquarters took it over and kept the name of Threadgills. Eddie turned it into a home cooking restaurant with music in the evenings and gossip music on Sunday's. Some people that played there were like Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Jimmy La Fave. The Threadgills had that vintage diner look to it and was one of our favorite places to drop by for lunch. It is another tragedy of the pandemic after over 30 years, it is closing for good. Captured for our memories. Photo © copyright by Bee Creek Photography - Tod Grubbs / Cynthia Hestand.

Canvas wrap

Canvas wraps are printed on white archival poly-cotton blend matte canvas. The canvas is wrapped on a 1.5" stretcher framed and finished with a durable black backing. The gallery wrap arrives at your doorstep ready to hang. After an order is submitted, the canvas usually arrives within 5-6 business days. While canvas wraps are more expensive, there is no need for matting and framing. After a fine art print is matted and framed, the cost is often equivalent or even slightly more than a canvas wrap.
