Blue Ridge Parkway Layers in BW - A dreamy warm glow at sunrise through the fog and hazy skies over the Blue Ridge Mountains in this black and white capture. We got here about an hour before sunrise to capture the sunrise over the overlook at the Blue Ridge Parkway and got set up just as the sunrise broke through the morning haze and fog with some lovely soft pastel colors in an almost abstract image. We felt like with the haze and fog the image almost look like an abstract painting with these lovely with the distance with distance mountains silhouettes in this monochromatic image. You can see the morning fog as it hoovers in the valleys of the blue ridge mountains. The haze and fog in the sky cause this image to have a wonderful soft dreamy warm glow. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a National Parkway and All-American Road in the United States, noted for its scenic beauty. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the most visited place in the USA. The parkway, which is America's longest linear park, runs for 469 miles through North Carolina and Virginia . The parkway offers some exceptional beauty like now where else. It runs mostly along the Blue Ridge, a major mountain chain that is part of the Appalachian Mountains. A monochrome landscape showcases a series of mountain ridges receding into the distance under a sky with scattered clouds.
